Unlock Huawei Mini Wi-Fi Modem.

From long time I wonder how to unlock  Huawei Mini Wi-Fi Modem so that I can use it with any network providers. It seems that  Huawei generally locked it to a specific network provider and sale it. You can't use it without Doing a long time research and searching on the net I found a very easy way to unlock your  Huawei Mini-WiFi Modem and can be use it with any network worldwide.

For this you have to install the dashboard software of the modem. Now write down the IMEI of the modem. It can be found near the SIM place below battery. Now download the software from the link unlock_Huawei_E58xx.rar. Extract the file using Win RAR software. Here you will find 4 files. Just double click "qmat 5.06" to setup the software in your PC.

Now follow these steps to unlock the modem. 　
1. Run "QMAT" from your desktop. 

i) Now go to "Hardware Forensics" on menu bar and click "Use Mobile Ports"
ii) Go to "Serial com port" and click  on the  drop down icon and select  "com4 - Huawei mobile connect - 3g application interface (com4)" (Port number may be different on your PC)
ii) Go to "Diag Functions (values to be entered have to be in hex)" section and  pick "Read EFS" from drop down menu. 
iii). Tick mark "Alternative Method"
e. Now lick "Lets go" button. 
iv). Save the file as E58xx.txt

Now  open fileE58xx.txt and find the  8-digit number at last part of the file.
Now run the "CardLock_UnLock-e58xx" from the extracted folder. Type the 8 digit unlock code from in the typing box and click "OK". 
Close everything and put another SIM card into your device and check. It will work. You are done!!!!!



After unlocking the card now you have to configure your modem so that it can dial the new network providers. 


1. Connect your modem to PC through USB cable or Wireless. 
2. Type 192.168.1.1 in the browser of your PC. 
3. Type "admin" as user name and admin as password. It will open a Modem management interface.  
4. Go to "Advance Settings" >Dialup Settings>Profile managment.  and here you have to create a new profile with proper APN of your network. 
5. Now go to "Connection settings"  to select the new profile as default profile. 


Now it will connect you automatically to internet.
